And lets not forget, The Cars gave us human-folk the greatest scene in movie history.

The Cars for me is the best... I would also put Aerosmith ahead of Van Halen...

My top 5 would be...

Cars
Aerosmith
Zep
Boston
Dire Straits....

But there are SOOOOOOOOOOOOO Many more to choose.. Its tough to decide.....

It's not rock and roll, but my favorite debut album was the Stylistics' self titled first album.

Good taste. Peej. It also matters to have been there...Clash, Cars, Appetite, etc.

Dire Straits can't compete though...because Brother's in Arms wasn't their debut album and that's the only one that could compete with The Cars debut.

I know everyone has favorites....and certain genres they love.

Wasn't trying to force any opinion...but objectively...I don't know, it has to be The Cars.

The Cars not only knocked it out of the park, they were a new genre. Out of nowhere, all their songs charted and had hits.

It's like saying, you might not like this new type of music but we're going to blow you away...and it will be timeless in the end.

And that's what happened.
