Rush has great hits, but I can’t listen to them otherwise.
My kid has liked them since he was young due to Guitar Hero. I was glad he was into an old band like Rush, and we listened to their greatest hits often.

Took him to see them when they came here a few years ago, and it was horrible. They played for like 3 hours and only played around 5 songs we liked. Didn’t even play Limelight.

Never cared much for the Beatles. I was born in the mid ‘60s, so they are only slightly before my time.

Alexandria/Pineville played AC/DC and Boston on a got-damned loop...

Using above definition, Queen, Billy Joel, Van Halen. All undeniably good, just not for me.

Springsteen is one I will never understand how he got so popular. I could see his niche at the time with his raspy voice and whatever. But to call him "the Boss", and the following he has, and people put him up on the same level as the greats...I just don't get it. Successful when he first came out, ok I get it. On the level he is now? What the frick?

I'm just the opposite. I like Fleetwood Mac when Stevie Nicks was the lead singer.

Willie's Roadhouse plays the shite out of Patsy Cline. She's supposed to be the Queen of Country music. I change the channel when she comes on. She does nothing for me. Same with Hank Williams to a lesser extent.

Beatles
Stones
Dylan
Springsteen
U2

All good answers. In some cases I never liked them. In other cases it's just massive overexposure. Dylan cant sing at all. Some of the Beatles stuff is good, especially the early songs. But they're not culturally transcendant to me.

Grateful Dead

I like the idea. But they're just not very good.

Also Prince. Talented, but just too weird.

And dont get me started on Garth Brooks.

Tom Sawyer is the worst song ever!! Not a lot makes me really angry. Tom Sawyer and every other rush song is the only music ever written that just pisses me off. Shite song; shite band.

Led Zeppelin.. This is a weird one because the music is good and I want to like the music but I just can't. It's something about Robert Plant's vocals.

Pearl Jam... Like Zeppelin/Plant, good music just something about Eddie Vedder voice, never a time when I want to hear Pearl Jam.
