Please recommend some current rock bands that don't sound like Nickelback. Something with good instrumentals and vocals that resemble Harmony.

I'm not as sharp on the Rock scenes I used to be although I can quote the theme songs to every Disney princess movie.

All time favorites Stone Temple Pilots Alice in Chains Nine Inch Nails although that seems to be considered classic rock now

Current bands (like not 90s and early 2000s)?

Sevendust (older but still going strong)
Paramore (singer is sexy AF)
Ice Nine Kills
Muse (very underrated)
Stone Sour
Hey Violet
The Pretty Reckless
Pop Evil

^^ That's a pretty good variety for you.

Crobot

You won't be disappointed...especially if you like hard rock. First album is incredible.

According to Maynard James Keenan, while on stage in Sugar Land the other night, A Perfect Circle is planning to put the butt frick back into rock.

Soooo...I would recommend A Perfect Circle if you like music with substance.

Regardless of what some people's opinions are of their recent shift in sound, Mastodon's latest record Emperor of Sand perfectly encapsulates this. It's just accessible enough to where it shouldn't scare you off on a first listen.
