What do you think about the Syd Barrett era of pink floyd? They almost seem like a different band to me. I used to hate Piper, but now it is probably one of my favorite albums by the group.

Not my style, either. Love their other stuff, but Piper leaves me cold.

Piper is one of my favorite Pink Floyd albums, but I do agree that it is a different band. It's also a bit dated, but I really like the anything-can-happen feel of the record. So much of the album feels like it is just holding on to reality.

Some of the songs are great and I like his albums for what they are.

I like Saucerful of Secrets.

I'm probably the only one.

Piper puts me in a different state of mind after each listen.

It's also very true that the Piper Floyd is so very different from other Floyd.

It's a psychedelic masterpiece. It's probably the best album that genre has ever seen. Funny how that "era" of Pink Floyd only lasted for one album. Barrett's role was reduced even on the second album.

I prefer the Waters/Gilmour-led Floyd, though, in the progressive years.
