This is for the nincompoops who come on here saying rock is dead or that you can’t find good rock music these days. Yeah this is one of their older albums but they’re still out there killing it. Nine albums they’ve put out while people cry about no more good rock.

If you’re not hooked with the first song Blue Snow then you don’t actually like good rock music.

Orange Goblin — Time Travellin Blues

ETA: I had no idea this site auto-changed the word “arse” to “arse” in titles. Just thought people typed it in there. Haha. How lame.

I used to listen to them some a few years back, had forgotten all about them.

Almost sounds like a cross between white zombie and corrosion of conformity

They are in the same wheelhouse of fans of CoC, Down, fu Manchu, and Monster Magnet. Good stoner, heavy and sludge-filled rock.

Great album.

One of my top 5 all time favorite bands. So many killer songs. Just absolutely insanely good, in a variety of styles. Killer stuff from the very first album.

They are a little more varied in their sound over the course of their career than most of those bands. Honestly, their last two albums have been their weakest, with the Motorhead homage becoming a little too rote.

Their 4th album, the almost lo-fi Coup de Grace is a masterpiece of depravity, whereas the Big Black is filled with massive sounding tracks from start to finish. 298kg is so fat.

Ben wrote some really great lines on the early albums.

Not bad. They remind me a lot of All Them Witches as well as a former Lafayette areq band called White Light Cemetery.
