One More: GNR or Metallica?

In the 90's they toured together and you could see both in one night at the same show.
I would probably see GNR because there would be more chicks at the show.

They were touring together in 1991. I went. Metallica blew G'nR off the stage.

I hadn't really listened to Metallica before that and was a huge GnR fan and I agree.
I also saw GnR by themselves on the UYI tour, they were better by themselves.

i've seen both and Metallica is the better show by a long shot. Although I like GNR's music more.

I would imagine Patton and the bunch would at least give GNR a run for their money.

Faith no More was the opening act, and they were clearly overwhelmed by the venue. I saw them at RFK, literally the first day of the tour, and the stadium seemed to swallow them up. They just didn't know how to play such a huge venue.
I do love Patton and have seen many of his bands (Fantomas, Mr. Bungle, AND Tomahawk), but that was a pretty lousy performance for him. There's a skill to playing arenas and stadiums, and Patton didn't have it.

GnR is possibly the most overrated band in the history of rock and roll. They have 2 good songs.
