Really digging the new Kanye. It’s definitely a gospel album. Surprisingly very biblical and seems genuine.

The beats on Jesus is King were amazing, however, his rapping was questionable. Can't take a man seriously preaching about God when he has previously rapped about bleached assholes.
Also Highly Suspect dropped a single called Canals, with their album MCID coming out next Friday

The beats are incredible, and after listening to the album a few times I’m really enjoying it a lot.
I think the criticism about his lyrics are fair, but his music has always kind of mimicked where he is in life. If he truly has found Jesus, then I’m happy for him. He made a great album nonetheless.

It came out last Friday, but I listened to the new Jim James album, The Order of Nature. Meh, I miss his voice from the At Dawn-It Still Moves-Z time frame.

It seems like Jim tweaked his vocal delivery a few years back to emulate Woody Guthrie's style on certain songs. Whatever he's done, his studio voice has changed and I can't say for the better.
But I saw MMJ at Jazz Fest a few years ago and he still sounded good, mostly like his old self.

Was really looking forward to Highly Suspect's new album MCID that dropped today, but it is so god awful. A band that is relatively young and actually made rock music completely sold the frick out to try and make mainstream poppy music. SMFH
