For me, Talking Heads.

Was a fan in the 80s. Seems very dated now.

That Mr. Roboto voice Neil Young album.

Remain in Light (really all THs) still sounds fresh as hell to me.

All of those early 2000s pop punk bands: Good Charlotte, Simple Plan, Lit, Sum 41. Their music was pretty bad then, but no way they'd be successful if those albums came out this year. Whole different ball game.

For me it's Smashing Pumpkins.

Used to love it in HS and early college.

Now, if I listen to it, all I can think is "Damn, Billy Corgan is a whinny little bitch".

I cringe when I hear many of the 90's alternative bands that came out of the "grunge" era... Labels were lining up to sign the next Nirvana and so much of it was garbage...

Any Techno
Any Alternative
Anything rock post-80s with the exception of a few of my favorite bands.

Bob Seger said it well: "Today's music ain't got the same soul, I like that old-time rock and roll."

And if I ever hear that song again, I pray there's no firearm nearby or I'm a goner.

The early 80s hip hop

I completely disagree with the talking heads but I can understand why you say that, especially some of their live songs

Yeah, I like the quote though. I can do without hearing the song too.

Insert Rick Roll here. Seriously, the lyrics to California Uber Alles seem kind of silly today, even though Jerry Brown is Governor again.
