Andrew Combs. He's not very popular outside the Nashville scene, but he's very talented and doesn't write that pop-country bullshite.

Brad Paisley is very fast. Too fast for his own good really. His songs get busy for nothing alot of times.
Don Rich (the dude that played w/Buck Owens all the time) was a really good guitar player.
Lots of that Nashville sound mentioned in this thread, all of which is rooted in Northern California (Buck Owens, Merle, Dwight Yoakam), which all kinda begat Zach Brown.

I've been to shows of his here that were packed and crazy, and then last time i went nobody was even there. it's really weird, he's one of my favorites period. it's to bad he doesn't get the love he deserves. oh well, neither do I

YES! Whiskey Myers is probably one of my favorite bands now. All really talented, song writing is good, and they're great live.

Agree with Yoakam, I would like to add Waylon, though a legend he is kind of a 2nd Tier Legend he should be 1st Tier, was an absolute beast of a musician and his Outlaws changed Country when it so needed a kick in the arse away from the Nashville sound.
