Reginald Arviza. Better known an "Fieldy" of Korn

The chick from Smashing Pumpkins
Auf der Maur was the only decent bassist in the pumpkins and that was very short-lived. Darcy was somewhere between bad and decent. Pretty sure Billy recorded most of the bass parts in SP.

I do, too. I really like his work outside of RHCP. Rocketjuice and the Moon is a really good album, and his jazzy solo album is a good listen. Not to mention his work with Frusciante and TMV. The guy is a great bassist, but some people act like he plays arpeggios with his dick.

The Smashing Pumpkins was Billy and Jimmy - a lot of the time. Everyone but Billy was bad off in drug addiction for much of the "classic" SP run, but Billy couldn't play the drums. Billy played almost all the guitar and bass parts on Siamese Dream. Iha and Wretzky played a bigger role in Melon Collie, but it's fair to say that Billy is the "underrated" bass player in the Smashing Pumpkins, not crazy arse, drug addict D'arcy.

I think you mean the guitarrist (not the bassist).

You're right, I was thinking of Iommi.

Don't know about most of all-time but Daryl Jones is underrated.

I think the fact that he is largely unknown outside of music nerds and bassists counts.
