Shaped my life growing up, listened to all their older stuff all the damned time in my beat up truck in high school.

Listing to Other People's Lives right now.

Moon and Antarctica was fantastic and had many a night with headphones on listening to it with some paper and a pen drawing.

What’s y’all opinion

Saw them in Shereveport a few years ago. Played some newer stuff that I’m not really familiar with but a lot of the older stuff. They were one of the top ones on my bucket list to see and got to scratch them off, Mogwai being the other .

Saw them on Tuesday here in Knox (my 4th time seeing them) and it was a fun show. Favorite time seeing them was at Forecastle a couple years back, they ended with "shite Luck" which is one of my all-time favorites.

My son has recently got into them so I gave him all of my old cd's. He’s been telling me all about Neutral Milk Hotel too.

I saw them at The Bayou ~'98... Isaac (99% sure it was him) jumped off the stage and landed on this chick's foot... took her toe nail clean off... thats about all I got on them..

My stompin' grounds. I pretty much lived there from 1983 to 2000.

I probably should explore their catalogue. My only exposure came from a homemade CD that a friend gave me. Everything sounded almost like a jungle for a commercial. I know there’s more to them than that.

You should, but I believe Lonesome Crowded West / Moon and Antarctica was their peak. Good News was great but their last two albums after that have been forgettable...especially the last album. But what a run they had.

Start from the beginning and work your way through. Don't forget their b-side albums as they have some great stuff on them too.

I haven't seen them in about 6 / 7 years and they were great then. I've probably seen them at least 6 times before that. All shows were pretty great except for an '07 show at NOLA HOB. The sound was so awful that you couldn't even hear the vocals and you could tell Isaac was pissed off because they couldn't get it right.

last show I saw was 4 years ago, I think, so maybe it is dated.

I think i was at this show. Man Man open for them? If so, I was definitely there, and drunk AF.

I've posted in other MM/Isaac Brock threads about how influential they were to me as a suburban texas kid in the mid 90's, and how they were really the first band that opened my eyes to music that existed outside of what my peers were listening to. They were the first band I really loved.

I've seen them all over the country throughout the years, last time though was in '08 or '09 i think. The most memorable performance was the one they played at some random country & western bar in Oklahoma City back in 2002 (I think). This was the show where Brock was yelling at the crowd for a knife, someone tosses it to him and he proceeds to cut his forearm, and continue the jam. They played a great set, it was hot as hell in there, and everyone was drenched by the end. His anger was real that night.

I'm ready for the downvotes, but my favorite album is we were dead before the ship even sank. Went backwards from there.

Yep...That was the one. I barely new much about Man Man but their set was pretty insane and honestly I probably enjoyed it more the MM that night.

Well that's your opinion man. Doesn't bother me at all. I liked the album a lot when it came out. I played the hell out of it to the point I just grew sick of it and I have no desire to go back and listen to it again. It did have a few great songs though.
