So I had not had any inclination really to see Metallica in a large stadium since I would much prefer an arena show, and I was not going to drive to Orlando from Jax for it. However, lucky me came out to Denver for work about three weeks ago, so I figured what the hell... Would be pretty cool to actually see them in Mile High. Got my ticket and will be there tomorrow night.

I will be in the nosebleeds for this one. Not my cup of tea. Would much rather be on the field but didn't feel like shelling out $200 to get down there.

This will actually make the fourth decade in which I've seen them too. So I'm damn glad to have that going.

I would love to see them live. Even though Lars isnt as sharp as he used to be, i dont think that would matter much if I were there

Please post a review of tonight's show. I found out last week I won Snake Pits passes for next Friday at Jerry World. This is my first show at Jerry World & this is one of the only bands I would actually go there for.

I guess if I am going to be seeing a show in that horrible entertainment complex of misery I might as well be up close.

Will plan to. May not be right away as my next three days are busy as hell.

But hopefully by end of the weekend.

Lightning delay. No word on whether or not they rode it.

They did. Short of time right now due to work but will say that it was incredible. I actually have a good video of some of the lightning right before the delay. Hour long delay. When it was announced show would resume in ten minutes everyone filtered back in and when they went back on the place was still packed to the rafters. They came out playing the opening chords of Ride The Lightning, which created quite a frenzy. My only disappointment was they didn't play the whole song.

Will try to link a video or two at some point.

ETA: Meant to say that they just destroyed after the delay. It seemed to add some intensity to the atmosphere. Was pretty epic.

I saw them this year in Baltimore, it was the first show of the tour.

They sucked. AS and Volbeat were better

Still hoping to get Atlanta tickets. I actually didn't like the new album and their live sound has been horrible for years but even Metallica at old age is better than most rock bands.

Such the cute contrarian.

I am by no means a Metallica apologist. In fact I'm much more of the curmudgeon who will tell you that they will never match anything from their first four albums again. But this is just a lie.

Yeah I wasn't about to skip the show since I'm here. As I said I wasn't going to travel much of a distance for it, so I guess it was lucky timing for me to be here. Very happy I went.
