At this point in their career, I don’t think we’ll ever see Metallica in an arena with a traditional stage setup ever again.
You’re probably correct although I could see them doing a few here and there. I know it’s not the same as them doing the club shows in Chicago and San Francisco recently but maybe one day they’ll decide to do a throwback arena tour.
Of course, even if they do that, the last few arena tours they’ve done have also been middle of the floor.

Hard disagree there. In the round is so much better and gives you much more room to breathe and enjoy the show.
Yeah, we definitely have to agree to disagree here but that’s okay of course.
I’m a much bigger fan of the traditional set up. I think it allows for the fans who pay the most for tickets (on the floor) to get as up close and personal as they can or want to and really get into the atmosphere of a great show.
The times I’ve seen them in the round the absolute rowdiest part of the show for the crowd near me was when the entire band was right in front of us. When they were all on the other side of the stage there was very little fire to the crowd right around me.

No love for Limp Bizkit, eh? They were pretty good on tour this summer, though Fred seems to be phoning it in now.

There’s a good possibility Metallica plays two nights again at Louder Than Life in September. Guarantee I get out cheaper.

5 bands on the bill? good lord, Metallica will only have time for 9 or 10 songs
so the week-end dates you will get two shows but no re-pete songs, may be the greatest "milking" of a fan base by a band yet.

3 bands per night, not all 5

Reminder the presale is noon central today for 5th members with the code.
And it's two openers per night. You get a full 2 hour Metallica show both nights. It's incredibly expensive but they still deliver.

A lot.
Anywhere from several hundred bucks to thousands.

I went for snake pit tickets as well but all that was left were the enhanced experience tickets by the time it was my turn. I'm not dropping a grand on a single ticket. Besides, I got to experience the snake pit in Dallas last year.
I settled with seats in section 127. Lower bowl, mid field with a clear line of sight to the stage. Can't wait.
