Cookies were a VERY big deal in their fleeting time, and yes, crackpipe is a masterpiece.

The lyrics on the Alan Parsons Project's "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" are retellings Edgar Allan Poe stories and poems.

Second vote for dbt sro- whole album. Interesting fact- basic gcd chord progression throughout as homage to lynard skynard in particular sweet home and free bird. Also love the buford pusser backstory songs on dirty south, with cottonseed as favorite cooley song.

I Will Remember - Queensryche
Rage For Order was more of a themed album than sequential storyline but it's fantastic. It's quite prophetic.

"Hair" - The Cowsills
The score of Hair saw chart successes, as well. The 5th Dimension released "Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In" in 1969, which won Record of the Year in 1970[124] and topped the charts for six weeks. The Cowsills' recording of the title song "Hair" climbed to No.?2 on the Billboard Hot 100.[125] while Oliver's rendition of "Good Morning Starshine" reached No.?3.[126] Three Dog Night's version of "Easy to Be Hard" went to No.?4.[127] Nina Simone's 1968 medley of "Ain't Got No / I Got Life" reached the top 5 on the British charts.[128] In 1970, ASCAP announced that "Aquarius" was played more frequently on U.S. radio and television than any other song that year.[
