His lesser known musical older brother--started the band The Easybeats in Australia. They were known for "Friday on my Mind".

I am betting you think he meant Angus. There were actually three brothers, George died last month, he was also a musician and was in the Easy Beats, more poppy rock. The "school boy" is still alive and playing and playing his signature Gibson SG.

I did think he meant angus. I was just listening to one of their songs (back in black I believe) this past week. I noted that he may have been the most pronounced rhythm players in rock history. Not really rhythm, per se, he just kept a riff going powerfully throughout the song. Pretty unique as it could have stood up without the famous lead playing.
I'm going to listen to some more acdc this week as I've always liked them but never gone through their catalogue
