Didn't realize Steve Brown(The Cult's Love) produced that album
did not realize that either...
I have the cassette... I'll have to convert it to digital so I can listen to it again and see if the rest of it holds up after all these years.

Oh and...any song by New Order.
I know how you like new stuff by these older bands. So have you heard the one from New Order's Get Ready album from 2000?
New Order - Slow Jam
Ok, so listen to it when you get home and not at work.

more nostalgic than anything of substance really. I can remember when they opened up for Love and Rockets back in '89 I think it was.
**Steve Brown produced that song only and their Unreal World album.

Rockwell - Somebody's watching me
Corey Hart - Sunglasses at Night
Laura Branigan - Self Control
John Cafferty - Tender Years
John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown band also had "On the Dark Side"
On a side note, I miss the sax in music and Solid Gold.

Good ones although "I ran" and "She drives me crazy" were mainstream hits that have gotten a ton of air play in the years since they came out.

A lot of these songs listed, are great, but I wouldn't consider them lost hits of the 80's.
The hit would have to be 'found' in order for it to be 'lost'
I consider a lost hit from the 80's to be a song that climbed the charts, but has zero airplay today
people are just naming songs that they like at this point it seems
which actually seems to happen in most threads like these
