haters gunna hate. Benjy is a solid local singer/songwriter and his concerts are like fishing with dynamite for picking up hot 20 somethings.

I do like much of his music (not a big fan of Cajun Crawfish Boil at all 
) from his "Dust" and "Lost Souls Like Us" albums. When I was a heartbroken little freshman in college with a guitar, they spoke to the hopeless romantic in me. It's my guilty pleasure with songs like "Mississippi", "Sweet Southern Moon", "I Love You", "Check Your Pockets", "Get High", "When I Get Home", ect.

I remember in high school at an assembly some kid sang BDP's song 'Heaven Never Seemed So Small' to his girlfriend..I wanted to curl into a ball and disappear it was so uncomfortable.

I ran into the singer from Addis and Here Is Why at the Krewe of Mutts on Sunday. Those guys were a good live band when they were in the right state of mind.
