I'd say this version of Out in the street by Springsteen qualifies

This version of Southern Accents is very beautiful as well

Almost every song on Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense or The Kinks - One For The Road is as good or better than the studio recording. If I had to choose one, it would be Psycho Killer by the Talking Heads.

Psycho Killer - Live - Stop Making Sense

Psycho Killer - Studio Version

I have over 90 Grateful Dead live CDs. If I make a post in this thread it will be longer than Dune.

Every Skynyrd song prior to Street Survivors is better live.

As douchey as he is, Garth Brooks' Double Live album is one of my favorites.
Frampton Comes Alive
Blackberry Smoke: Leave a Scar
Jack Johnson: En Concert Live
Jerry Jeff Walker: Live From Dixie's (mostly to hear "The Road Goes on Forever")

Is this correct? Are you thinking of Robert Earl Keen No 2. Live Dinner?

I was going to say the same. Any band with a significant amount of improvisation will be better live. A couple of examples:
Joe Bonamassa - Colour and Shape (studio) Good
Joe Bonamassa - Colour and Shape (live) Great

Tedeschi Trucks Band - Midnight in Harlem (studio) Very good
Tedeschi Trucks Band - Midnight in Harlem (live) Incredible

Radiohead - "Like Spinning Plates"

I am still mystified as to why they didn't record this version for the album. I understand wanting to be weird for weirdness' sake, but they took what is legitimately one of their best songs and made it almost unrecognizable.

Also, pretty much the entirety of Hail to the Thief.
