Nonsense. Tell that to the portrait artists who went out of business when photography became available to the public.
A lot of people who would have had a portrait artist do their portrait simply took a photo of themselves or paid a professional photo studio to do it because it was much cheaper and quicker than having a portrait artist do it.

Yeah, I get your snide insult but it would be impossible for us to pay people to play all of the musical instruments or for us to sing as well as the singers in the AI version.

You can listen to whatever you want, but most people enjoy art knowing that humans created it. And most artists are artists because they want to create. Pasting something made for you, whole, and then tweaking that whole is not rigorously editing and refining. So, prompt and enjoy what you want, but you're kidding yourself into believing this is a "tool."
Since my brother and I are not intending to be professional musicians or songwriters none of your post applies to us but it still applies to people who are trying to be a professional musician or singer.
AI is as much a tool as the numerous pedals and things musicians already use to create the final version they want their song to sound like.

I don't know but you can find that out.
The AI I am using lets me hear the majority of the version it creates for free but I had to pay a few bucks to hear the entire version.
As a result it costs me about $2 for each song I decide I want to keep.
However, if I don't like the AI version I don't have to pay anything.

My brother has played the guitar and written many songs for over 60 years so you don't have to explain how wonderful it feels to play your own music.
However, no matter how hard he tries it is impossible for him to create a song with back up vocals, female lead singer, a full orchestra behind him, etc.
He can do that using AI.
