Gave many a great concerts back in the early - mid 70s at The Warehouse. Was a real favorite of New Orleans back then.

Yes I did! It was the early 70s at the Blackham Coliseum in Lafayette. He had married a black girl named Mary and they performed together.

Damn, RIP brother. It would take hours to list all of the records Leon played on in the 60s and 70s, not to mention the songs he's written for other artists as well as being a mentor to so many.

IF THIS DOESN'T GET STICKIED, THEN CHICKEN DROPPED THE BALL.... Do we need to post some songs he has a hand in? You ever heard of THE BEACH BOYS? FRANK SINATRA, BOB DYLAN, THE BYRDS and IKE Turners' RIVER DEEP MOUNTAIN HIGH are just the "big" artists. Dude had horrible hands riddled with pain and could make a piano say "stop beatin' on me" lol. Loved ole Long Hair. Now we know.... How many days has it been since I was born?
