I busted out his Hank Wilson vol 1 record a couple of weeks ago. Great album. All of his albums are great. My lord this year has been a bad year for music deaths

Gary Busey was, at one point, the drummer in Leon's band. He went by the name Teddy Jack Eddy.

It's crazy that JJ Cale, Leon Russell, and Elvin Bishop all grew up in Tulsa around pretty much the same time, the latter two both attending Will Rogers High School. So much talent from one area.

Loved that album. Elton, Leon, T-Bone and a number of other legends like Neil Young, Jim Keltner, and Booker T. Jones.
