Yeah. I saw them on their Farewell Tour in 2000.

I already went to their last tour ever back in 2009

Have only seen them with peter and ace.

SKC is quite an upgrade over Gretna Fest

Actually 15,000 in Smoothie King vs 35,000 at Gretna fest isn't an upgrade in attendance. Maybe prestige.

The 2009 tour was never billed as the last tour. The 2000 tour was a farewell to the original members.

Damn, saw them in 1978, my first concert. How are they still alive, how am I? Might have to get tickets to this one.

I say this as a huge KISS fan born in 1990, it's sad what has happened to Paul Stanley's voice. He kept it going for a while (I'd say he sounded fine as far as up to the very early 2010s) - but it's terrible now. Gene can still sing pretty well.
With that said, I can't believe they wouldn't have any DC/Baltimore area dates and the closest they'd get to us is Philly. My guess is they end up adding more dates. I mean, are they really going to end the band in NZ instead of Detroit or NYC?

$1,000 meet and greet doesn't even include a ticket.
$6,500 gets you a ticket, meet and greet and backstage tour.

I think it is real this time. They have looked old and tired on stage for the last several years.

Still have my shirt from their Farewell Tour at the New Orleans Arena in 2000

I do as well (and still wear it). I had gotten the black and purple one with their faces on the front. The back said "legends never die"

There will be another US leg. There is no way they are skipping Houston or DC area and they will have to do an Asian leg as they were huge in Japan. Like you I believe they have to end it in Detroit

I saw the final-ever show with the original lineup (Charleston, 2000), and Peter Criss trashed his drum kit at the end of Rock & Roll All Nite, throwing pieces of it off the top of his drum riser. As far as I'm concerned, THAT was the "end of the road" to me.
That said, when I caught them in '14 (Raleigh), they were lethargic and sounded wayyy past their expiration date...can't imagine any of that is gonna improve 5 years later in 2019...
