Colter Wall wrote a murder ballad, for frick's sake. 
There hasn't been a murder ballad written in 40+ years. You don't get more country than killing a cheating fiance and writing a ballad about it.

Boudinman, you would probably get a lot of agreement on your post but a lot of these baws pretend they never listen to bro country. Just like we all have a six figure income

I really appreciated this cover album. My favorites from the album were "The Caretaker" and "Desperately" (one of my favorite country songs).

If it Hadn't Been For Love - Great murder ballad written in 2008. It's no Knoxville Girl...but it's still pretty awesome.
