He should stick with blues. The guy can play but his talent is wasted in "pop" muzik.

before he hooked up with Bobby and Billy etc there was zero john Mayer in my life. I now pay a john Mayer tax in order to revisit the music and the scene that’s been such a huge part of my life

I used to agree with this 100%. I even kind of resented the dude not giving us more Trio material. But after his amazing work in dead & co and continuing to make albums exactly like this I've accepted that this is truly the music the guy enjoys making. So I respect it way more I think

I was thinking Genesis the first time I heard it. I actually really like it. Nothing that special, but a fun summer tune.

You don’t achieve a net worth of $100+ million dollars by playing blues. Mayer’s wrist watch collection is worth more than what a lot of well know blues artists have earned in their lifetime.
