Little mousey bastard could play.

There's a YouTube clip of Operator live. Their playing looks incredible to my novice eyes. It does look like Croce is lip syncing though. Just absolutely no strin to his voice/throat while singing. Croces guitar looks impossible while singing. And it is of course rhythm. So poor bastard Maury has to play something harder so it can be called lead.

I know DMB gets shite on here but it is kind of like Dave when he just plays with Tim Reynolds. Maury does sing backup though.

Me and You and a Dog Named Boo was the first song I knew by heart, according to my parents.

Not particularly fond of either Croce or Lightfoot... but I DO like this Gordon Lightfoot song:

Early Neil Young performances when he just started out solo.

"Sugar Mountain" and "Live at the River Boat" are incredible. Sugar Mountain is the best.

Also check out the Massey Hall performances, around the same time frame, if you don't mind the accompaniments of his piano every now and then.

A. Wow, this thread got revived.

B. I thought she was more piano?

Side note. I found some 70's Bonnie Raitt on youtube. This was through another thread in here. Never really appreciated how awesome she was, nor got into her 70's prime recordings. I just knew I HATED Something to Talk About, and that was all I gave her credit for.

Angel from Montgomery was a revelation.... I know it is a John Prine song.
