I was clearly talking about the majority (almost all) of headliners. It comes down to being a bunch of crap that I don't want to pay to see that drives up the price. Other people may like it. It might actract more people to the fest. I don't care for it.

Gaga will be playing with Tony Bennet I'm pretty sure....they have an album out and are touring together right now. Won't be her regular show.

Or local groups related to New Orleans or Louisiana in any way at all. Cause that was the obvious point. If some asshats bothered to read the point it would be clear.

AND there are a shite ton of small jazz and local groups who love the hell out of having all of these people who come from all over the world for the headliners stop and see them play.
It's a huge economic thing for N.O. and the music clubs end up being slammed all week between weekends with both small and big acts of local and national prominence. It's all a win win.

Hundreds of thousands apparently like it.
I disagree on the ticket prices. Where can you go and watch that much "talent" for that price? Definitely not at hang out fest.
