The drink lines were laughable. I saw one guy in the line for well over 30 minutes.

Hilariously inept bartenders they have there.

The sound was 100000x better than the last show I saw in that theatre. It sounded really good after the 2nd song of James McMurtry.

I have not but it’s funny you say that. I went to smoke a cig and I overheard people talking about the place and how bad it was ran.

Really awesome show. I thought the sound was on point for that venue. Great clarity and reasonance to his vocals. Good crowd too, very appreciative and engaged. And there was nobody to complain about around me, at least.

Highlights for were Decoration Day, Last Of My Kind, Elephant, Codeine, and Cover Me Up.

James McMurtry was a nice opener too. I'd go see him next time his does a Red Dragon show.

It's not my favorite song, but the fact that I knew it was making some insecure whiteys uncomfortable made it sound all the sweeter.

I think people now just know Isbell is going to do 1 or 2 white guilt songs and they are over it at this point.

Setlist was solid

Band was a little off kilter (could tell they’ve grown accustomed to having Amanda, but it did let them rip a little extra on the rock n roll)

Sound was crisp

Venue management was bizarre. Like they’d never had a concert. The bar lines, the light up drinks, merch table outside the ticket scanning and on and on

Crowd— a few complaints online. Wasn’t thrilled with those around me, and on a whole it was pretty disengaged at times.

Good not GREAT, but I’ve been spoiled with a lot of his shows

So they never asked for my ticket once. I basically could’ve just walked in. Did they ask to see if yalls tickets?

Good summary.

I thought Anxiety was an odd place to start. And the crowd tensed a little on White Man’s World. The early part of the show seemed a little rushed. But they really brought it in the second half.

There is something very special about the chemistry between Jason and Amanda. You’re missing more than a fiddle when she ain’t there.

A nice moment was when the crowd gave him a huge O in Cover Me Up when he sang:

But I sobered up and I swore off that stuff
Forever this time

This seemed like a crowd that knew Jason Isbell.

Agree about sloppy venue management. The sound was good, though.

Glad y'all's show was good. Sounds better than Dallas as far as sound.

I've seen him several times and this happens at pretty much every show.

I would’ve liked to see Alabama pines or go it alone replace White man’s world on the set list, but it was an awesome show nonetheless.

The concession crew was inept

Anxiety
24 Frames
Hope the High Road
Something More Than Free
Decoration Day
White Man's World
Elephant
Last of My Kind
Cumberland Gap
Tupelo
Molotov
Codeine
Stockholm
Cover Me Up
If It Takes a Lifetime
Never Gonna Change

Encore:
Flying Over Water
If We Were Vampires

that's honestly a let down of a setlist IMO

no "outfit" "try" "dress blues" "goddamn lonely love" "chicago promenade" etc...

Agreed. There were some high points, but lots of filler.

I guess it's to be expected though, I didn't love the last two albums. I guess each new show will have more of the newer stuff worked into it.

Y’all are some pitiful critics. That show was incredible. Missed Amanda but they covered for her well.

1:15 set is pretty lame for the $49.50 ticket too. is that too harsh?
