Show up at my doorstep and I'll stab you with my non-Rx thick-rimmed red glasses and sick my cat(s) on you.

Now see, that is sort of fricked up.

I will say, however, that I don't have much respect for the taste of those that are really into geography bands: Boston, Kansas, Chicago, Alabama, Asia, etc. Amazing how consistently awful and/or boring they are. Maybe it's because if a band isn't creative enough to come up with a name other than a place (usually where they're from), they are going lack creativity generally.

Chicago had some good to great tracks. Also a lot of garbage. But I agree on the others.

I noticed you left out Europe, which is good, because they are awesome.

Chicago's early stuff was awesome. Kansas had some really good songs, not all of it was their more popular stuff. "The Wall" is one of my favorite songs of any genre. Bostons self titled was awesome for a teen back in the day.

Looks like just another publicity stunt.

This would be great if true. A new Them Crooked Vultures album would have to come soon after.

I like the Foo Fighters well enough, but Dave Grohl is one of the best hard rock/heavy metal drummers on earth today. Even though he had some huge records, it always felt like he was wasting his time being in a band that was Wings to Nirvana's Beatles. I would love to see him join Queens of the Stone Age or form a new supergroup.

He'd fit right into QOTSA, but John Theodore is an excellent drummer and they probably wouldn't have to worry about him leaving to do "solo work" or other side projects like Grohl will likely do.

Is that the same John Theodore who used to be in Mars Volta? Guy is a hell of a drummer. I didn't know he was in QOTSA.

Yep. He joined QOTSA while they were recording their last album.

I myself am a huge fan of the "Sound City" soundtrack that Grohl helped put together.

I'm a big Foo Fighters fan. Have been since I listened to The Colour and the Shape. I'm not going to comment on other people's opinions on them because music is so objective that it's a waste of time (but I think the awards they collected over the years speaks for the quality of the band).

I think their early stuff is really good. I could see how folks have gotten bored with them, but I do think their sound changed over the years. I'll still listen to everything they put out regardless.
