That's actually exactly what you're doing. At least don't be a pussy about it and be transparent. I look down on people that like Foo Fighters.

Segall is apparently so great, that he's playing in a venue that the can hold up to 50 people.

Hes mighty successful, guys. I think you've won this argument. Congrats. Your choice of music is not obscure at all and these guys are known world wide.

Do you by chance think The Beatles suck because you don't hear people play their music at parties? Just wondering. TIA

Since size of venues played is apparently perfectly correlated to an artist's true talent level, I guess you agree with Kanye West that he is one of the greatest artists of all-time?

Did you really just use the greatest band in the history of the earth to try to justify your stance?

I'm out man. Enjoy your Ty Stegall concert. I'll literally never hear this dudes name again bevause he's probably gotten as far as he will in the music industry.

Amount of spotify plays says otherwise.

Just picked Father John Misty for example... most popular song right now has 12 million plays. So what is your point? I know it's no Everlong (30 million plays), but come on. Stop making up crap.

Oh, and then there is this gem:

Nothing but a bunch of pretentious "look at me, I love music no one listens to but should and your mainstream stuff is terrible type" posters.

Followed by this one.

All hipster noise. Love what you love. Not my cup of tea, but I'm not going to look down upon your choice of music.

Prominentwon's guide to picking an artist you should like:

Plays in at least a 10,000 seat arena on the reg?
Have you heard of them?
Considered mainstream?
Has lots of plays on Spotify?

What else am I missing?

I doubt it. But then again, I don't care if people don't care.

Dude, Segall played The Late Show like a week ago.

I don't even love all the artists I listed. I just respect them and hear them discussed.

I'm out too. I'm not gonna argue with someone that doesn't like music about music.

Thought I'd just drop in to let you know that, in fact, you're embarrassing yourself.

But we know who you are and where you live. How about 'dem apples?

Oh, Segall has borrowed very carefully from the past. I'll give him that.
