You said they invented the modern music festival.

I'm asking how. Just answer the question, what did they do that had not been done before?

The oldest annual pop Music Festival in the world is Pinkpop Festival from the Netherlands, though other genres are older - the Three Choirs Festival has run annually since 1719.

I'm well aware. Phish has done more for the music scene and they actually still tour while kobain is six feet under.

They've promoted it well beyond what it was. Jam bands are the backbone of music festivals. Try leaving the varsity for once. You might like it.

They did not, and I have never said they did.

Again, with the reading comprehension problems.

I think the popularity of Bonnaroo and Coachella were a greater influence to modern festivals. Phish fests sparked other bands to have their own festivals but they evolved to what they are now from Bonnaroo, Coachella, etc.

Well to insinuate that I've never left Baton Rouge is hilarious to me

Do you agree with them?

That phish invented the music festival?

What else did they invent?

The Internet?

The mp3?

The people who put on Bonnaroo (THE modern music festival) were the same people that were part of Phishs crew that put on Clifford Ball, The Great Went, and Big Cypress. They literally used the same template from the Phish festivals to put on Bonnaroo. From there the festival circuit has exploded.

As far at the set up and multiple stages go. Obviously I'm aware of Woodstock.
