Is Kenny Chesney a bigger draw than Brad Paisley?

If so, by how much?

Brad Paisley played a free concert in Auburn on October 9th, 2015 and drew about 7500 people if that much.

Kenny Chesney and Miranda Lambert are playing Jordan Hare this upcoming weekend and tickets range from $35 (upper deck) to $215 (field level).

They're closing off part of the stadium for the stage, so it'll have about 70,000 spots open for the show.

There's no way Chesney/Lambert is that bigger of a draw, is it? Am I missing something here, or is this going to be a half empty stadium come Saturday night?

I wouldn't go see either one if you paid me.

Let's put it this way. They aren't going to sell 70k seats.

Chesney headlines arena tours. Paisley plays casinos now.

Chesney had the #2 North American tour in 2015. 59 shows. 1.3 million tickets.

Paisley was #48. 53 shows. 580K tickets.

On average, Chesney draws about 12,000 more people than Paisley.

I prefer Brad. In fact, he's one of the few current "country" artists I can tolerate, but Kenny "Sean Peyton" Chesney is the bigger draw.

Still a bunch of available tickets on the Ticketmaster site.

Those prices are insane. I turned down free tickets on the field and never realized they were that much. I'm like someone above, you could't pay me to go to a Kenny Chesney concert. There aren't many acts in music I despise more.

A friend of mine loves going to his shows? They have a parrot head kind of feel, or at least that is the sense that I get. Going to his shows and going to multiple shows is a thing with Chesney.

Chesney = Richer

Paisley = Better guitar player.

Chesney = fricks dude but has tons of women at his shows.

Paisley = Hot wife. Father of the Bride girl.

Life gives and life takes.

I just like Brad because he doesn't take himself too seriously. He acts like the fact that he's some famous country star is just some huge joke on him, so he's just going to enjoy the ride while it lasts. So many of his songs are entirely tongue-in-cheek.

It's way better than hacks like Luke Bryant who write lyrics like "You make my speakers go boom-boom" or "a little Ol' Hank and a Little T-Pain, just might make it rain" while thinking they're some kind of real musical artist.

I went to the Brad Paisley show. My wife dragged me.

It was great. Guy is a killer guitar player and quoted Steve Vai's Erotic Nightmares in one of his solos.

Selling out 70 thousand seat stadiums is reserved for bands like GnR circa 91 or 92. I think I saw where there were 88 thousand at their Donnington show way back when. KC could give away every seat for free and still wouldn't drawn 70k.
