I'm a metal maniac myself. Do you gig a lot? Interested in hearing you play. Thats a serious drum kit. By understanding what your kit is by your post, you be should an accomplished metal drummer!
For me it's:
Yamaha Hybrid Maple 7 piece.
No rack YESS and cymbal Tom mounts. Sabian HHX cymbals. All Yamaha hardware. Aquarian kit drum head and remo pinstripe gears for tons. Remo Mastertouch piccolo. Second hi-hat, remote.

Grateful Dead - Egypt 1978. There are tons of dead shows that it seems impossible to pick but the whole in front of the pyramids is why I would pick this show.

Gretsch

The best snares. Tighten tremendously taut/well. Love the ´pop´.

The rest were real maple Ludwigs. Two rack, two floor, and kick. Slow, noisy pedal (like Bonzo).

All Zildjian cymbals and high hat, one sweet Paiste crash which could be ridden if need be (bell was high), and four Tama octobans (loved me some Stewart).

The Russia Freedom Concert, or whatever it was called, in 1991 with AC/DC, Metallica, The Black Crows, and Pantera. The USSR had just broken up and gotten rid of Communism and a million people showed up to this concert at an old air base. The police were still sort of in Communist mode and weren't sure how to handle the crowd. It's like the people were giving a big frick you to Communism. Musically speaking, AC/DC wasn't over the hill yet, Metallica were at their peak, and Pantera were about to blow up.

Thats when I got into Pantera! Must have been an amazing show.....1.6 +/- million people! Unreal!

Not very good video but it is on youtube.

Ozzy with Randy Rhoads in Chicago -- Diary Of A Madman tour

UFO opened on this tour. Was scheduled to hit Baton Rouge at the Centroplex six weeks later, on March 3rd. 34 years later and I'm still pissed off at Ossie Brown for getting that show cancelled. I'm convinced it would still be to this day top 3-5 of concerts I've seen. Rhoads was dead just 16 days later.

Another vote for SRV at the El Macambo.

I always go Pearl Jam too. Any of the early European shows where they broke out acoustics because the venues were so small. Any great act in a small arena has to be awesome.

Great choice, and you're not the only one still pissed about it, brother. My friends and I were so pumped to see Randy. So sad.

Mine would be California Jam '74:

Rare Earth
Earth, Wind & Fire
Eagles
Seals and Croft
Black Oak Arkansas
Black Sabbath
Deep Purple
Emerson, Lake & Palmer

Or California Jam II:

Aerosmith
Foreigner
Heart
Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush
Dave Mason
Jean-Michel Jarre
Rubicon
Santana
Bob Welch
Ted Nugent
