Jimmy Buffett, 1985.
A girl that I first asked to dance with me as a Sophomore in HS that shot me down, who would have nothing to do with me in college somehow jumped at the chance to go to Buffett with me. I drank too much rum and after the concert threw up on my shoulder on the way home. I didn’t even realize what I’d done until she ran away after we got out of the truck.

Rage Against the Machine
October 26, 2007
Voodoo Fest
City Park, New Orleans, LA
Without a doubt the single best concert I have ever witnessed. The crowd was MASSIVE. The energy was unbelievable. They absolutely blew the top off the place that night. Never been so immersed in a musical experience for 2 hours straight.

I was a mid 90s teen, so I was too young to see the 70's and 80's bands in their primes. In the early 2000s a buddy and I went on a concert kick and got to see most of the 80s and 90s acts that we liked (the 80s guys were past their primes, but still pretty solid).
I would say I would like to see mid 80s Talking Heads. I always thought their music was just OK, but they apparently put on very bizarre and interesting shows.
One band I never got to see was GnR because Axl was being a bitch and broke up the band by the time I got old enough. Would like to see them in their early years in LA circa 1986.
Of course, would like to have seen Nirvana. Obviously such a thing wasn't possible after 1994. Never got to see AIC or STP (would love to see both in their 90s heydey). I did get to see Scott Weyland live when he was with Velvet Revolver. It was a good show.
Would like to see the Dead, circa 1990. I do not care for almost any of their music, but I think their concert would be fun. (Yes I know they've been around since the 60's).
I like The Cure, but they're not a concert band for me. I was never into the goth scene.

Michael Jackson. Baton Rouge. Summer of 1981.
It was the Jackson Five’s last tour before Michael went solo. I was standing on the first row next to the stage. An incredible performance.

Did you get a tshirt that said, "I survived The Who" with the footprints on it? I remember that merchandise floating around after that show.
