I was listening to Paul McCartney on the way to work today and...

it got me to thinking of music artists who had strong success after going on to solo careers.
Here’s some I thought of.
Paul McCartney (I know JL did also, but never as big as PM.)

He's always been one of my favorites. His story is interesting. He started with the James Gang then went solo for the most part then joined the Eagles, then did a solo project which with good success then back with the Eagles.
