I felt bad for the boys. I stayed for their set and they weren't as bad as people lead you to believe. They aren't overly great by any means, but not terrible. They are definitely more suited for a small venue/bar setting.
I saw them twice in high school. They're a surprisingly solid live band.

I didn't mind a few of their songs growing up
I don't remember the last time I heard one of their songs though

I think I owned two of their CD's. They came out with a Patriotic song several years back that was used in a National Guard marketing campaign, and they played concerts at different places for the troops. I used to work for this Government Contractor that had the Guard's marketing contract, so I gave them another listen. Like most radio-pop stuff, there were maybe 2-3 decent or good songs on there and the rest sucked. Their first CD was pretty good though. I have heard they are pretty good live, which is more than a lot of the 00s rock-pop groups can say. If they came around here and I didn't have anything going on, I might go to a show.

Yeah they teamed up with Dale Earnhardt Jr a few years ago and played a free concert at Talladega the night before a race. There were surprisingly very few people there, maybe 200. It wasn't horrible, but they kind of seemed like douchebags. I was really drunk though, and we only saw 3 or 4 songs before leaving.

Is lil Wayne terrible?
If he were terrible, he would be working a day job and would be settling for % of the bar/playing for the door/tips performing his music.

I always love these threads about a completely subjective topic. Like asking someone what their favorite color is. Lots and lots of people like or liked them. Obviously, lots of people don't.

So terrible that they've only sold 20m albums, worldwide?
or that they only had two multi-platinum albums and one platinum album?
If that's terrible, I'll have some please.
Brittney, Beyonce, Jay Z, and innumerable even more terrible bands have sold even more. So while I'm not trying to be mean, that's not a very good argument.
