His actions speak much louder than his words. The guy resented John and would talk shite about him publicly. Still, John's ultimate frick you to Anthony at SNL is an all time favorite SNL appearance to me.

Pink Floyd's biggest issue was the Gilmour and Waters were both arrogant as hell and their egos clashed.

But it’s not like the band was self-destructive. Layne Staley was a drug addict and slowly descended into abuse and then death. Jerry Cantrell was remarkably put together and was able to carry on the AIC legacy after Layne’s death without sullying the band’s name. OK, then Mike Starr died, too. But it’s not like there was infighting and dysfunction. They were just drug addicts who slowly died. That’s what drug addicts do. And AIC held it together long enough to make “Dirt”. And they were downright careerist compared to Mudhoney or Screaming Trees.

Listening to it again, it sounds like the right key. He just embellished it a lot. The kick actually happened during their first song, which may have set John off.
