I'm thinking about getting tickets to see them in May and I'm curious about what kind of show they put on.

Yes, but it was in the 80s.
Great show, but I have no idea how they sound these days.

Yep, but it was a looooong time ago when they were charting top 40.

Yes, 1969 at the Prairieville Pop Festival. I am sure they are just as good now as they were then.

I'm sure someone around here saw them at Gretna Fest last year

'73. They were then called CTA - Chicago Transit Authority. 25 or 6 to 4. From people I know who went to Gretna Fest, they sucked.

Saw em about 10 years ago at the River Center. They were pretty good that night.

saw them in Biloxi a year or two ago. Amazing how many hits they actually churned out.
It was a really good show .. far exceeding my expectations (which were quite low).
I give out of four

I saw them shortly after Kath died...
but a few weeks ago watched a recent concert on Qello. They're still pretty tight, Lamm and the horn section are originals. The bassist and guitar player have been with them for a while.

Musically they are great, vocally, ehhh. Actually they may be better vocally now that Bill Champlain is gone and Jason Schepf has lost some weight and is in better shape. Would be worth going to just to hear all the classics. One of my all time favorite Chicago albums is 17. Some of David Foster's best work!

yes, 'Dialogue' is one of my favorites and he just butchered the shite out of Kath's part.
The way it should be done...

I did back in the early 90's. They have a long list of great songs. I would see them again.

Back when he was younger he was awesome! But as age and probably boredom set in he got real bad. And until a few months ago I was hoping Chicago would bring Peter Cetra back and make Jason Schepf play the bass only. But he as gotten better.

I saw them in the 80s and they put on a great show. Peter Cetera was the lead singer then, and we saw them in a stadium. I was 12 or so, but I really enjoyed the show.

I saw them several years ago double billed with Earth, Wind, and Fire. Chicago was decent-but EWF blew them out of the water...

I saw them in 1973 or 1974 at the New Orleans Auditorium. They were awesome!
