See them now. That looks really good.
Don’t know what look you were going for but it looks vintage

Going for a relic look. Friend of mine is working on some Celtic applique stuff to add.

I am impressed with the sound of this one, and I have already ordered a telecaster kit.
I am serious, if you want to play some AC/DC or anything that is rock rhythm, this guitar is perfect. I am really surprised at the sound.

I think it's the one I'm gonna go with. Seems like it's not as difficult as some other models. Will have to dust off the old soldering skills though.

Do it. Follow their instructions. Use that shim exactly like they tell you. You'll like it.

I'm really digging this site. It gives you difficulty levels for each model.

Is that pickup a P-90? Odd choice for a Les Paul

The thing that I really like, you can make them look how you want.
Be very careful with your glue, even though you wipe it right off, anywhere it touches won't take stain as well.

It's a Les Paul Jr., they've been building them that way forever. It's a classic sound.

Another is LMI (Luthiers Mercantile International) their name usually pops up in this type discussion. Along with StewMac (Stewart-MacDonald). Although they might be more of a supply store type thing.

Can anyone explain to me how these kits work? Do you just order a kit and it has everything you need, then you just assemble? Have to buy my parts/add one?

I think this is badass, auggie.

This was the first time that I tried it, Every single screw and washer was in the kit. The stain, tools and work, were the only things that I had to provide.
You have to do some cutting on the headstock, or not..it's up to you to decide.
You'll need to make some clamping blocks, so that you don't damage frets when you are clamping the neck down. That's easy.
