This thing sounds great. I am very pleased with it, for a 150 buck kit. Still have to do some tweaking.

Lanierspots posted the photos for me below.

Awesome. The fact you built it is even better.
I have cherry red ‘60 Les Paul Jr.
I’m an acoustic guy but I play her every now and then.
Also have a ‘74 Telecaster and a ‘78 Stratocaster. The Les Paul is my and my son’s favorite.
The ‘70s were some fun years If I remember correctly!
Hope you get many hours of enjoyment out if your new “toy”.

It's more of a Rockn Roll guitar, and it's fun for a little while, not really my thing though. Good learning experience, and turned out much better than I expected.
This thing is a rock guitar though, it's really good.

How did you like the way I made it look? I tried to make it look like a relic. Probably will Knock some shine off of the bridge and pick up cover. Make a copper pick guard.

So I have a stupid (Im sure) beginners question.

I only been at it for a few months and only on my acoustic. Ive never even tried a electric but something I noticed. Some electrics have all the tuning pegs on the head stock on the same side and some have 3 on one side and 3 on the other like my acoustic.

Is there a reason for that or is that totally for styling?

I think it is mostly styling, though some people claim, that it's better to have a straighter line for your strings and stuff.. I don't know. Their strings wear out too.

Is there any good indicator to when strings need to be changed? Im sure mine are fine since they were new when I got my fiddle but Ive been beating around on it for 3 months now...

I've always heard" 40 hours of playing" as a rule.. I change mine when I get tired of hearing them, and want something different, or when I wear that G out and it breaks, then I put a new set on.

One way to tell is when it won't stay in tune very well. Then they REALLY need to be changed. But before that happens they start to sound dead. You may not even notice until you change them and then you'll be like "holy shite I should have done that weeks ago."

Axe looks really nice auggie.

String life and when to change is a personal taste thing, there is no correct answer for when to change.

Fresh strings are brighter sounding, older strings are darker sounding. Some people like their strings slick feeling like new, some like them grungier.

Nice work on the guitar, aug
