Honestly I'm a huge fan. I know they get alot, ALOT, of shite but I've seen them live back in 09 and it was hands down the best "live performance" I've ever seen. There new stuff (American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown) pales big time in comparison to the old 90's GD...but still, it's all good.

Looks like I'll continue my streak of never going to this festival.

I used to like them when I was in hs, but I wouldn't mind seeing at Voodoo fest. Somebody keep us posting on the full lineup

Decent choice, I guess. Hopefully they include better stuff than this.

This festival had been on a steep and steady decline since rage was there. Green day is a pathetic shell of a once good band. I hope to God they add someone worth seeing.

If you would remove the donkey cock that's imbedded in your arse, you may have better luck.

What you mean is that they're inventive and brave enough to expand their musical vision rather than stick with the same old teenaged quasi punk (albeit entertaining) adolescent oeuvre they did for years, and produce unabashedly thematic albums that, while pop, have something to say.

Solid post.
ETA: To be clear, that wasn't sarcasm.

Judging by the line ups the last few years, yes. It's gonna be about 80% of the same local New Orleans bands I can see any given weekend plus some electronic dance stuff I don't care about and maybe 1 or two bands I like playing at 4:00 in the afternoon. I really wanted to see Ozzy and Soundgarden the last two years but didn't go because there wasn't a single other band I was even remotely interested in seeing on those days. I would have gone last year if they put Mastodon on the same night as Soundgarden.
