This speaks volumes about the life of each of their songs. Hell, nowadays, after a few weeks, people forget about a popular song. Zeppelin's work is eternal.

The creation of the Pianoforte (the piano) by Bartolomeo Cristofori... The creation of this instrument was a game-changer, and reshaped the path of music as we know it today. The only innovation in instruments that has had as much of an impact is the electric guitar.

Wasn't Beethoven deaf? If so, everything he ever composed is the greatest human anything ever, maybe.
Contemporary stuff--Mark Knopfler's end solo on "Sultans of Swing." It isn't a particularly genius composition, but it's virtually impossible to hit all the notes that were apparently written in it, and even in the take that is on the official release, you can hear him miss a couple of the notes. I've tried like hell to nail it, and I can't come close. I just don't have enough fingers. Even if I had 12, I wouldn't have enough.
