Did you catch his name?

He worked at KRVS and his wife was a professor at UL, can't recall his name right now as I'll try to remember. Late 50's , long gray ponytail , and was wearing a KRVS hat, that's how I met him

He works for the union as a sound recording engineer and tapes/records shows all over the country, even has a recording studio in his home to fine tune digital recordings. He is allowed to keep a copy of the show for himself and turns over the original recording to the artist since it's their property

I'm still in Chicago as my 5:30p flight was delayed till 6:30p

Not a chance. These past 5 shows have about put Phil in a coffin.

I'm totally down with it. I like Mayer and I think he really gets what they do. At least from a fan's perspective. Would be happier if Brice and Jeff are also involved.

not Karl as this guy was not from Louisiana or Acadiana. He was here (in LAF) from 2005-2007

I'm gonna go by the station today and see if someone can place a name with a face since I have pics

I'll keep everyone posted once I get the 411

I wouldn't say the vocals other than Phil's were horrible.

They were pretty bad with some decent moments within.

Bruce and Trey did a great job.

Bobby missed a vocal cue once or twice, but he's been doing that since the 60's too.

There was no reason for him to sing any Jerry song.

I understand he's Phil Lesh, but he ruined Lady With Fan. I think even Cody cringed when he heard that.

For what it's worth, apparently it's a done deal

20-30 arena shows booked for this fall

Also Oteil Burbridge could be involved

They should ditch Mayer and add Tom Hamilton and Benevento.

Mayer doesn't have the capability to carry everyone else on stage, unlike Troi.
