I saw them at Alabama Theatre 10 or so years ago and one of Chris Robinson's bands opened. Pretty sure it was New Earth Mud. Anyway, I get to my seats and they're first row of the balcony, and Kate Hudson is sitting in my seats. She was gracious and I let her sit there and just sat behind her. She left after New Earth Mud's set.

Has anyone else that's seen them live noticed that his guitar tech is his doppelgänger?
Every single time I've seen Mule, before the show his tech walks out on stage to drop off a guitar or something and gets a huge cheer.

I haven't missed a show in Louisiana for the last 10yrs. Soulshine was my wedding song.. yea they are my favorite band. the sanger show from 14 was 5 hours plus and one of the best shows I have been to. 09 at the fine arts museum was a great 2 nights. 22 guest musicians in all at that show.

13 jazz fest shows was pretty solid too. Not a ton of huge names sitting in but a fun show. I think they opened with Bold as Love, Get Behind the Mule, Ventilator Blues and a lot of other good stuff.
- Warren just knows how to put on a rocking show. And I'm not sure which poster on here said it first, but the term "heavy metal blues" is perfect for mule.

I once did an interview with Warren Haynes for a magazine I used to write for. It was right after Mule released By a Thread, and they were in Nola playing the Fest and Mahalia Jackson. He was a cool cat and answered any question I could possibly think of. He was really easy to talk to and very humble.
His name he registered under at his hotel was Mr. Warren Peas, which humored me.

Have they confirmed a Saenger show yet? I know the rumored lineup has them playing Jazzfest so I hope the late night show still happens
