I'd rather go by myself than burden someone who doesn't "get" the band I love. Then watch the look on their face of disapproval as I geek out over them.

not weird unless you are an insecure person and find weirdness in it. I work on the road a good deal and always catch shows solo.

Actually met my current girlfriend when going solo to a show in Atlanta.

Go. It's awesome. Do you want to hear the music or not? What are you in it for?

I've had some fantastic times going to shows alone. I've flown cross country to see concerts by myself. Do it.

2 years ago I saw Chris Stapleton at the varisty by myself because non of my friends would go. He sings on the Grammys and my wife is still mad she stayed at home. I have a music buddy that I see a lot of shows with but If he can’t go I go by myself. Meet some really cool people at shows.

The older you get the harder it gets to find people to go...

Nothing quite speaks to those uppercrust sensibilities quite like Florida/Georgia Line

Not weird, especially at a festival or bar or just anywhere standing in particular.. if you have to sit in an arena/theater, depending on the music .. it can potentially get boring.

But when you go solo it's a lot easier to find one empty seat up close. You can get a lot closer to the stage when you're a party of one. That's true of both GA and reserved seating shows.

I always respect that "lone guy" when I spot him at concerts--especially if he looks like he's having a good time.

If you go to the Spanish Moon enough, you’ll make tons of friends who love rock and roll and the Moon. There’s about 2 dozen regulars (including myself) that are at damn near every rock show at that place. We’ve probably been at more than a few of the same shows.
