Gilmore EMG's for a Strat - Undecided

Y'all help me make up my mind.
I bought these close to 20 years ago and tried to put them into a Korean Epiphone strat knockoff, think Frankenstrat. I could never get them to work, I can't solder (essential tremor), and the guitar/pups sitting in closets ever since.
I'm seeing a luthier for a different matter and thinking about taking this with me and asking him to make it work.
That's option A.
Option B- I have a stock USA strat 1995. Have him take these out of the Epiphone and put them into the real strat.
Keep in mind, I can't solder so it's not a job I can do or undo on my own. If I change my mind later, it costs me more money to have someone do it.
Please vote. Please guide me, ye wise men of the Music Board.

Have you played these same type pickups on another guitar and know that sound is what you want? Do they fit with what you want to play?
If it absolutely is, then get it done but make sure it's on a guitar that you love the feel of.
People talk about chasing tone, you better be chasing more than that.
Put the good stuff on your favorite.

Pickups are magnets and copper wire. Some are stronger than others. You create tone with amps/modules and effects. Don't tell us you can't solder. YouTube it and practice for 30 minutes, and you'll be as good as your luthier. Make sure the wiring is correct. Don't be lazy. Whatever you want, you can make it happen.

Bro, I am officially diagnosed with "essential tremor:. YouTube it, and you can be a neurologist in 30 minutes.

Sorry, I wasn't aware of your condition. I wish the best for you. I was only trying to push you toward a better version of yourself.

I haven't, but I'm in a sound/tone rut and want to change things up.
