George Strait and Chris Stapleton Headlining Bayou Country Superfest

Yeah, I know, Bayou Country Superfest sucks. I agree with that but George Strait and Chris Stapleton might just get me there this year. That smoke show Kasey Musgraves is also going to be there on the same day.

NEW ORLEANS, LA. - George Strait will headline Bayou Country Superfest at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome next year.

According to WBRZ.com, the country music concert will be Strait’s only scheduled festival appearance in 2018.

Other stars in the lineup include Chris Stapleton, Little Big Town, Kacey Musgraves, and Midland.

WBRZ reports that the event will host a free concert in Champions Square called “Bayou Saturday Night” on Memorial Day weekend. The free concert will include Randy Houser, Michael Ray and Runaway June on May 26.

The event will also include “A Salute to America,” fireworks display over the Mississippi River on May 25

Bayou Country Superfest 2018 starts on May 27. Organizers say tickets will go on sale November 2.

The 2018 festival will be the second time Bayou Country Superfest will be held in New Orleans. The event was traditionally held in Baton Rouge, but moved to New Orleans due to construction at LSU’s Tiger Stadium starting in 2016.
