I think it would impossible to find three less offensive people in a band than them, ever.

Great interview.

Just think that 3 guys were all able to do that and not let egos and pettiness get in the way. Just show humility and stay grounded. Very rare in that business.

Agreed…. RUSH was a one of a kind band…… top 10 lead guitar player top 5 bass player and IMO the top drummer of all time……

Wow. I'm not a Rush fan, but that's an admirable guy.

For those who subscribe to Paramount+, Dave Grohl and his mom have a short interview series with a few musicians and their mothers. It's called From Cradle to Stage, and one of the episodes features Geddy and his mom Mary Weinrib. It's well worth watching.

Unfortunately Mary Weinrib died over the 4th of July weekend. Coincidentally, Neil Peart's father Glen died three weeks earlier.

I'm not a fan of Rush's music, but I am a fan of the band. Super talented and seemingly all around decent dudes.

At one point in that interview, Dan asks him about the future of the band, will they tour again, et cetera. At the time of the interview, Geddy knows that the band is over because Neil has brain cancer but that information is being kept secret from the public. I can't imagine what's going through Geddy's mind when he's responding to that question.

I enjoy Dan Rather's "The Big Interview" on AXS TV. There are 8 seasons of interviews with a lot of legends in the music business.
