This guy is one of the more authentic country musicians in the last twenty years. IMO, he's vastly underappreciated and should be bigger than all these pop country acts.
They can say it's country, but it's either bad rock with a fiddle or pop with a twang.

Refuses to do songs about pickup trucks and tractors, because he grew up surfing in Southern California. Props to him for that.

I'm a fan...I know he is totally different music wise, but reminds me of Big and Rich....they have been around for sometime and have a lot of songs you know, but nothing that scream superstar.

I’m friends with him. He’s written some really good songs that’ll never get released in the past 4-5 years and he’s has had label issues and that’s why there’s been no album put out in that time.

It Would Be You to See if I Care was about as good a 4 album run as anyone in the 90s or 2000s had. I didn’t care for much after those, but every one of those albums is loaded with great, underrated songs.
