I feel like people who actually know real hip hop automatically say Biggie. Tupac is for wanker and wanna be gangstas.

I agree. When I meet somebody in real life that says Tupac was better than Biggie, I definitely judge them. And I get really confused.

Biggie was playing a different sport than Tupac, and everybody else.

Agreed. I'm not even a huge hip hop fan but Biggie is just the automatic choice for me, I don't even have to think about it. It seems obvious

Biggie was much more skilled and just flat out better. Both of his albums were great. Tupac hit his peak right before he died with the Makaveli album. Before that he was hit or miss. "All Eyez on Me" was very hit or miss. Some classic songs on it but as a whole kind of meh. Before that Tupac was very raw and basic. People just fell in love with his "keeping it real" attitude. Nothing to do with the music. The battle, Tupac easy. Bad Boy killas is maybe the most real and heartfelt diss ever made. Tupac meant every word that he rapped in that song.

If serious

It's rare I hear a rap song today that does anything for me. I'm sorry, but you can't compare the music Tupac wrote to lil wayne. It's not even the same kind of music imo.
