She knocked it out of the park. This is just 2 guitar parts and vocals, will be adding drums, bass, mandolin and fiddle over the next couple of weeks.
She did another song for me too, that's already finished out with full band, it's getting mixed down now. I will post that when it's finished.

That's really good. Is it just some random person that you found? Like a studio singer?

Noice. How are you handling the recording process?

I've never met her before, but I knew about her.
She does songwriter demos, but she's a back-up singer for a touring act right now and had a couple of albums of her own before.
Her name is Melissa Duvall.

I just record the guitar and vocals and send it to a guy with a demo studio and he finishes with a better singer.
Sometimes he doesn't even use my guitar parts, just re-records it all, but I think this time he used mine for the basic guitar part, then did all that good stuff on top of it.

Sounds fantastic auggie, I love the emotional power of the sparce arrangement here! Great theme and lyrics also. Very nice tune and very well done so far.
I’d love to pick your brain about how the pitching process works. I have one I finished and put out a few weeks ago that’s getting some nice feedback. It’s just acoustic guitar, bass, and pedal steel, along with my vocals.
Has there ever been a thread here where some of us musicians can share our work with each other? Might be a cool idea…

I would really love to hear it if you can share it.
I started a thread for songwriters a few years ago, but it didn't gain much traction at the time.
You can ask me anything you want about pitching or whatever. I'll tell you what I know so far. I'll tell you what I can.

Shoot me an email whenever, I didn’t want to post it here and thread hijack.
